There have often been reports about inaccuracies when running speed tests that utilize Java/javascript. Some users elect to perform speed testing at other sites such as:

Optimum Online's FTP Test - download test64 file to your desktop, note speed at 40% & cancel after.
BBR member Nerdtalker also suggests using NetPerSec as a way to monitor speeds while downloading and uploading test files.
The only way to get the most accurate results possible is to perform testing directly
