Question regarding speed
DSL Speed Test
just recently bought a new router a d-link di-524 (kinda regret for not knowing a better di-624).
but anyways, i know the fact that wireless are pretty much slower than having a computer directly wired through the ethernet ports.
i have a 768kbps DSL speed and when i check my bandwidth in some sites i usually get 650+kbps with my laptop directly wired to the router. Not really bad though. But when i use my wireless in my laptop, even if i am just beside the router (around 2 feet away?) i only get an average of 384-450kbps.
Do you really lose this much speed when using wireless? Is it really that slow?
