Hotels Have a problem with voip?

I have voip from vonage that I like to bring with me on business trips. Why would I use phone service at the hotel and pay an arm and a leg? Well it seems that hotels would rather have customers not utilize their broadband connections to access phone service from their internet calling. This looks like it's going to become a problem. It appears that I'm going to ask if I can use my broadband connection to make phone calls before I make a hotel reservation from now on. Will you?
